Enough / Suficiente

Pueblo Garzón, Uruguay

In and around the village of Garzon there are many families living in simple homes passed down generationally. These homes typically sit on hundreds and sometimes thousands of acres. The land is rarely sold.
In 2021 my father died in a lot debt and spent the majority of his adult life overleveraged.
My father’s life and this new community have reframed my concept of accumulation, success and happiness.

En los alrededores del pueblo de Garzón hay muchas familias que viven en casas sencillas heredadas de generación en generación. Estas casas suelen estar ubicadas en cientos y a veces miles de hectáreas. La tierra rara vez se vende.
En 2021 mi padre murió con muchas deudas, habiendo pasado la mayor parte de su vida adulta sin poder salir de ellas.
La vida de mi padre y esta comunidad han reformulado mi concepto de acumulación, éxito y felicidad.
