My father grew up in a generationally affluent family. After his death I inherited a lot of debt. That loss reframed my concepts of success, accumulation, and the American Dream. In response, I moved to a village of 200 year-round residents in rural Uruguay.
My work documents evidence of sustainability via communities, objects, and systems that endure without credit and borrowing from the future. What constitutes enough? How is it achieved? Can it be sustainable?

Mi padre creció en una familia adinerada. Tras su muerte, heredé muchas deudas. Esa pérdida redefinió mis conceptos de éxito, acumulación y el sueño americano. En respuesta, me mudé a un pueblo de 200 residentes permanentes en la zona rural de Uruguay.
